Tennis to keep me going

5:30 pm and we start mailing and calling our group of friends, asking them to be in the tennis court at 6 sharp. Well we have never started at 6, but then we do play. At first it was just about hitting the ball across the net, but now we have matured and come to a decent level. We can serve aces now and wow it is fun to see your serve speed across the court.
Well yesterday was one such day. Kapil came on to the court at 7 and we started a round of singles. I was serving completely at ease until he picked up his game and began hitting winners and his ever deadly chops off both sides. We were thrilled about our game having picked up so much within only a week. Wow it really feels good, believe me. I had to change my strategy to prevent him dropping the ball close to the net, so I started going near the net as often as possible. That seemed to put him off a bit and I began winning a lot of points with my volley. I won the first set 7-6 (7-5). We started the second set and he shifted gears to a different level. He began hitting the ball crisply. I really had to run around a bit. He raced to a 3-1 lead. I could never pull back the lead and eventually he won the set 6-3. But we were so happy at the end of the game. One good day of tennis.
