Ubuntu a real wonder

Ubuntu is the latest wonder in the linux world. Soon it's becoming the buzz word among the software freaks. Personally this is the best operating system I have seen in my life. Ubuntu is a very easy to install OS combined with a highly user friendly look and feel. Most components are recognized and installed and you don't even need to partition your hard disk using partition magic or a similar disk partitioning application. Needless to say it configured my wireless network card with ease and I was able to connect to the internet the very first time. Windows did not recognize my wireless card. I had to get a driver for it from Dell for my laptop. I also noticed improved download speeds with ubuntu, not sure if I am biased towards ubuntu in thinking so. The fonts look excellent. Feels like everything is so much more organized when working with ubuntu. I had Red Hat 9.0 previously, but ubuntu beats RH hands down. It has loads of wonderful features and a very easy way to keep upto date with the latest applications. All this at the cost of nothing + OS cd shipped to your doorstep. This is like eating your cake and having it too.
Some minor bugs I noticed are with Eclipse behaving odd and throwing up exceptions. But this is more to do with the linux version of eclipse rather than ubuntu I guess. Still havent researched on it much. Other than that, my DVD player doesn't read DVDs. This is because of the missing DVD codecs which don't come for free.
Overall picture, ubuntu strikes gold, microsoft better watch out.
